Since the latest craze on the White Wolf forums seems to be 'do it yourself' covers for the soon to be released World Of Darkness 2.0 rulebook, I thought I would have a go too. Unlike the comedy covers I decided to try and evoke an appropriate atmosphere instead. This is my 'serious' design. A big departure for me is the absence of a figure in the picture. I wanted to put the viewer into the picture instead. It is YOU in that dark passageway. Is it a gateway to a safer, or more deadly, place though? Is the danger behind you, or ahead? I also just realised-I could be cheeky and drop a vampire in for a vampire cover, a mage for a mage one and so on. So-now you would discover what was lurking in the passage. You can also see my own version of the new WoD logo
to the left-I hated the cheesy faux metal one so I thought that having
moaned about how horrible it was I really should have a go myself. It
took me five minutes to complete... |
